UAAP Cheerdance Saturday

Saturday was such a fun and eventful day! It was my first time ever to watch the UAAP Cheerdance Competition in Araneta! I've always tried to score tickets, but since I didn't go to any of the UAAP schools for college, it wasn't that easy.

Thanks to my good friend Simoun Ferrer, I was able to get 2 tickets from Lasalle, but I had to Lasalle to get it though. I decided to go with a fellow UP Pep Squad fan, my brotha, Jezonne Oblenida. With only 2 hours of sleep, due to a night out with friends the night before, made my way to Lasalle to claim the tickets.

I entered through here. Never realized that it would be a maze for me. I just followed this guy who I overheared was also going to where I was supposed to go.

My visitor's pass

So after I got the tickets, I went to Fitness First RSC in Makati to meet with Jezonne.

I was expecting a comfy ride but the train was packed!

On my way to Jezonne, I had a shopping detour at Greenbelt. What was supposed to be just a plain shirt, turned in to shoes!

"But it was on sale! And I've been eyeing that design for weeks!"

My quick lunch!

So after I met up with Jezonne, we headed to Araneta. The whole place was full of people. Boom Gonzales mentioned an attendance of 21,000 people!

Our view! We were with the Lasalle crowd. Though it was from the back, we still enjoyed it a lot! We were kinda seated with a mixed group though.

Me and Jezonne

This year's competition was great! It was like all the schools leveled-up! I will give my review on another post.

Host Boom Gonzales fanning himself. He's such a hottie. There's something about guys who speak well that get me going.

The schools waiting for the results

Champion: UP Pep Squad! They a perfect routine from our view!

One of the awesome flyers the the UP crowd had! It looked to cute when all of the UP crowd were waving them! It even had instructions on how to hold it properly, along with the new cheer script! Sooo cool!

Nice smile Jezonne!

In the end, UP defended their title, Lasalle got second place, FEU were good sports in accepting 3rd and the schools to our left just looked sad and kawawa (t'was just my observation), I just won't mention who.

My Expensive Hobby

This year, I started training as a Body Jam instructor at Fitness First. I've been attending Jam classes for 5 years and thought that might as well get a notch higher by actually teaching the class. So far, I've gotten more than what I was expecting. Being on stage and leading a dance class is surreal. Though I've been a callcenter trainer for like forever, the experience is totally different. It's like you're immersing everyone in the same vibe that you are in. It also allows you to create a new lifestyle for them, depending on the class they're attending.

Why an expensive hobby you may ask? Well you have to pay for the training and materials and the money you get back is not as high as you'd expect. I just do this for the love of the program and being able to lose weight in the process!

September 4, 2011 was a fun-filled day, jam-packed with all the cardio fun that I'm physically able to work with. It was our quarterly Lesmills workshop "leveled-up" to a super workshop. It had all the programs and all the Fitness First Lesmills instructors under one roof! I joined the Body Combat and Body Jam master classes since there two programs are my favorite. I also joined one of the new programs that they added which was Sh'bam, it was an amazing party of a class!

This is Anne Marie, she taught Body Combat, Body Jam and Sh'bam

This is Shane, one of the hottest Body Jam instructors!

Here are just some of my fellow instructores piling together.

If you wanna have an idea about the Fitness First programs, check out www.fitnessfirst.com.ph. For the Lesmills's lifechanging programs, log on to www.lesmills.com and www.lesmills.com.au.

Now back to changing lives, one class at a time.

Pampered... Finally...

I was really feeling under the weather the other day, so I decided to get a haircut and a massage. On the way to the spa (NUAT THAI Fairview) though, I started feeling like I was going down with a fever. After debating with myself, I worked-up enough energy to head to the spa. Once I entered the spa, the smell of the aromatic oils filled my senses. So after choosing the massage (I got a Swedish masssage), I was lead to the waiting area where I got a complimentary foot scrub. As for the massage itself, it was good, given that I was sniffing the whole time because my nose was so stuffy. The funny thing was, the masseur asked me if I had a fever (Sir? May lagnat po ba kayo?).

Next time, I'll try to get a massage when I'm not sick. Hopefully I'd enjoy it more.

New Layout!!!

Was still at the office and got jealous of my friend's blog. Rach, being the amazingly creative (and super nice) person that she is, helped me with the new layout! I sooo love it!

Clutter Chic?

Just like my station... Well my station kinda looks more like... Cluttered... Period...

Marked?
Well not the real thing yet though. Maybe a few years from now. Would still be able to donate blood though?
